7th December 2008 MIX: Dave Blackgrove - Red Bull Music Academy Well.. After a HUGE Disco Hut in December, there's nothing standing between us and our New Years Eve party apart
from a spot of Christmas shopping and a big fat turkey!
One magic hour for your ears now.. Full two hour version coming in the new year.
While your listening, why not book your ticket to our new years party and complete the experience?
19th October 2008 2009 AWAITS We've just confirmed our midnight maneuvers for this new years eve...
For the first time in 3 years, we're staying on the south side of the Thames and taking over the South London Pacific.
So, get ready for a massive Disco-Carnival switch into 2009! We're super excited about putting our new years session
into this venue. We're also expecting a road-block night amongst the bamboo walls and extra dance floor heat!
More details tbc.....
4th October 2008 Disco October After a long and intensive night of voting, it's been agreed that Dave Blackgrove turned in the best dj set at this
months Disco Hut session! Simon Alvaro was close with his pure boogie and 80's style house warm up.
Riley was excluded from voting though as he played a classics set including a 12" from the mighty M J Cole. That
kids in his own league!
15th August 2008 Sweden. You rock. London.. we're back! Special big thanks go to everyone at Frizon Festival for yet another fun trip to the field of Orebro!
Sambalanco hosted the dance stage for two nights and the crowd gave an extra warm reception as they have done for the last 5 years! That crowd know exactly how to last the night on the dance floor. It must be the swedish super hero powers they have.
Back in London town now and we're set to smash the dance floor at Market Place on Aug 30th. Shortly followed by our Disco Hut session back on the south side!
Look out for a mix dropping soon from dB completed for Red Bull Music Accademy.
We'll drop the link here soon.
5th May 2008 Dico Hut - What Massive Amount of Goodness. Seems like the sun was shining on peoples musical ears at our last Disco Hut!
We were loving the quality in the crowd that seemed to shake their legs at anything from Baile Funk to Old wicked
boogie and jazz-breaks! A true sign of a bunch of solid djs and a crowd second to none that make the dancing
mischief begin!
Dave Blackgrove pulled an eclectic corker out of the bag and Simon Alvaro ripped the place apart with some M.I.A
style rude-beats. Riley rounded of the session solidly with the cut / paste / mix styling he hold the belt for!
bigUps to BRUCE.. Have fun on the white isle. We will miss our no 1 fan!!
14th April 2008 Radio Riley.. Konnichi Wah Wah! Sambalanco's very own mischief maker Riley has been featured on the Konnichi Wah Wah show this week on
Samurai FM!
Dom Servini fresh from his marathon runnings hosts the show along with Nik Weston and it is well worth checking
out...
It seems that all residents have updated there charts as well so check those for some fresh music. Seriously... it's a
rare occasion so don't delay!
5th April 2008 Sambalancos Disco Hut.. Seriously Baaaad! Huge thanks to the masses that joined us to shake a leg at our Disco Hut session on 4th April.
That was one of the biggest nights we've had there to date and certainly a dance floor to be treasured by any dj! It
is 100% our pleasure!
bigUp the residents (yes that's us. shamless!) for heavy disco action and proper global dancing music.
Thanks to someone for the one britney spears request and thanks to the random four dresser uppers... a telly
tubby, a banana, a penguin and a tall pink dog. Random as Rileys dancing that was..
More disco hut action in May. Music, Togetherness & Diversity. That's the way.
13th February 2008 So Long.. The Funky Munky Ends So last Saturday, the 9th February, we (The Mighty Sambalanco) closed the doors on our residency at the Funky Munky.
With a fair amount of nostalgia, some choice Sambalanco classics and Dancing wicked being shown by the Camberwell crowd we dropped the final session heavy to the floor!
We have decided to take a step back from the venue that has hosted the session for 4 years to catch our breath after getting the venue buzzing week in week out!
In the mean time keep your ears peeled for special Sambalanco guest spots around London plus Simon Alvaro, who is back from South America very shortly will be bringing a fresh mix for the site!
Meanwhile, we're rocking the Disco Hut @ the South London Pacific every single month just down the road in Kennington.
Infact.. we're holding Riley down with lead weights as the excitement builds leading up to our 4th BIRTHDAY PARTY on Fri 7th March, and he is just getting outa controll!
Simon Alvaro will be fresh back from his tour of Peru so it's all hats in for the big one.. Don\'t miss it!
